Saya sepasang kasut. Nama saya Nike.
Aku berwarna biru. Kelihatan aku sangat cantik dan besar. Aku diperbuat
daripada kain dan getah.
Setelah badan aku siap dipasang, aku
dihantarkan ke sebuah kedai menjual kasut. Aku dipamerkan di sana. Setiap hari,
ramai penghunjung datang ke kedai itu. Mereka membelek-belek aku tetapi tiada
seorang pun mahu membeli aku.
Pada suatu hari, seorang lelaki dan
anaknya datang ke kedai itu. Lelaki itu membeli aku dan menghadiahkan aku
kepada anaknya sebagai hadiah hari jadi.
Tuan baru aku bernama Ridhuan. Dia
sering memakai aku dan menjaga aku dengan baik. Pada masa lapang dia selalu
mencuci aku. Oleh itu, aku sentiasa kelihatan bersih dan baru. Aku berasa
gembira dan bertuah kerana mempunyai
seorang tuan yang baik seperti Ridhuan.

The Dog and The Donkey
There lived a dog and a donkey in a house of a rich man. The dog guarded his house and the donkey carried loads for him.
It was a hot afternoon. The dog was sleeping under the shady veranda. There was some noise outside. The dog just lifted up his head and went back to sleep.
The donkey asked, "Why don't you bark. It could be thieves". The dog replied, "Mind your own business". But the donkey would not listen. He wanted to save his master from thieves. He started to bray.
The master who was sound asleep got wild with the donkey and came running out with a stick and gave hard beatings to the donkey
